The crimes were allegedly committed through the transportation, transmission and transfer of stolen public funds through the United States.
Records of the case also showed that from January to June 2006, Lindley was issued 11 purchase orders (POs) totaling US$ 394,340.65 for which the Chuuck State Department of Health (DOH) made advance payments equivalent to 75 percent of the POs amounting to US$ 295,755.49.
However, only US$ 89,893.76 worth of goods was actually delivered by Lindley to the Chuuk State Department of Health.
Nucum’s indictment was handed down on June 15, 2011, but it was just unsealed on October 13, 2011.
