Russia’s leading electronic payment system Yandex.Dengi has unveiled a service that allows users to avoid payment restrictions required under anti-money-laundering laws.
The newly introduced online identification service will allow Yandex.Dengi users to send more than 15,000 rubles in one transaction and eliminates a 40,000 ruble a month transaction limit. Other e-money service providers and even some banks have expressed interest in the online identification service and the possibilities it offers.
“Adoption of this system would allow us to handle online credit requests, taking into consideration borrowers’ credit history, and give a complete decision on them,” Grigory Vartsibasov, board member at the Trust bank, told Kommersant.
