Bank Negara Malaysia and Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) who are members of the International Community of Experts (ICE) Forum will be hosting its first International Financial Intelligence Units (FIU) Codeathon 2017 (the Codeathon). The coding competition will be held from 18 – 19 November 2017 in Kuala Lumpur.
The Codeathon is held in conjunction with the 3rd Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) Summit that will take place on 20 – 23 November 2017 as part of the continuous effort to integrate and maximize the benefits of information technology (IT) in countering terrorism financing. The Codeathon provides a platform for the financial intelligence communities, law enforcement agencies and regulators to engage with tech experts from within and beyond the sector in gaining greater insight on new technologies, techniques and ideas to address terrorism financing challenges.
