Efforts to tackle money laundering are being hampered because of the volume of low-quality reports that banks make “just to be on the safe side”, a legal watchdog has said.
The Law Commission says that tougher, clearer laws are needed to enable law enforcement authorities to target the most serious money-laundering crimes.
