On Wednesday, El Salvador’s court sentenced former President Antonio Saku to 10 years’ imprisonment after he admitted his guilt in embezzlement and laundering of budget funds in excess of $ 300 million, the report said.
As reported by Reuters, Saka received five years for money laundering and another five for embezzlement. He will also be forced to return the stolen $ 260 million to the state budget.
