The UK’s Gambling Commission has launched regulatory action against five land-based casinos after assessing their businesses.
The casinos failed to follow the Commission’s social responsibility and AML regulations. As a result, the Commission has placed their operating licences under review. Additionally, the casinos are required to pay penalties and/or regulatory settlement.
Clockfair Limited and Shaftesbury Casino Limited must pay £260,000 ($359,579) towards regulatory settlement. Meanwhile, Les Croupiers Casino Limited will pay £202,500 ($280,057) towards regulatory settlement. Double Diamond Gaming Limited is required to pay regulatory settlement of £247,000 ($341,600). Lastly, A&S Leisure Group Limited is set to receive a formal warning form the Commission and must pay £377,340 ($521,860) as penalty.
