A COUPLE who profited from the burglary of a £1 million consignment of stolen computer servers from Virgin Media in Northampton have been sentenced to a total of four years in prison.
Abdul Ishaq, aged 38, of Bedford Road, Walthamshow, north London, and Aisha Choudary, aged 21, of the same address, both received a share of nearly £100,000 which was made from the sale of the stolen goods to a company in Canada.
…Mr Prior said the £40,000, along with the money for two further orders totalling nearly £60,000, which was paid by the company for the router boards, was paid into the bank account of Crosstracks Computing, run by Ishaq, and £35,000 was then transferred into Choudary’s account.
Ishaq and Choudary were found guilty of possessing criminal proceeds and money laundering after a trial last year. Khan pleaded guilty to handling stolen goods on the day of the trial.
