An examination of the two bank accounts revealed that Kazmi’s wife had a savings account at Punjab National Bank’s Jorbagh branch, in which Rs 19.80 lakh were received till March 16 this year. The second account, in Kazmi’s name, was at State Bank of Patiala’s Shastri Bhavan branch, where Rs 4 lakh was deposited. The investigators have found that a large number of deposits were made from either Dubai or Bangkok.
“We are focusing on the remittances from Bangkok and Dubai as the probe so far has revealed that the bombings in New Delhi and Bangkok were planned by one group,” said an official conducting the probe.
