The Co-ordinator of the Financial Intelligence Office (GIF), Chu Un I, has been granted authority by the Secretary for Economy and Finance, Lionel Leong Vai Tac, to ink a memorandum with related authorities from the Republic of Estonia for the prevention and combat of money laundering and terrorist financing crimes.
According to a dispatch in the Official Gazette on Monday, the memorandum which is to be signed with the financial intelligence group from the Republic of Estonia is set to facilitate the exchange of financial intelligence between the Macau SAR and the European nation.
