The National Court on Tuesday condemned drug trafficker Laureano Oubiña to four years and seven months in prison for laundering money obtained illegally from drug sales and to pay a fine of EUR 2,226,100.83.
This was agreed in the fourth section a statement reported today, which also absolves Oubiña stepson, David Perez Lake, for which the Drug Prosecutor ordered three and a half years in prison.
Oubiña, released from prison Navalcarnero Madrid last July 17 after serving several sentences for drug trafficking since 1990, was acquitted by the High Court, eight days after his release, to launder more than 4.5 million euros of profits from drug trafficking, but now could return to prison.
In the decision, the Court also convicted of an offense of money laundering by Emilia Cano Carmona to three years and three months in prison and a fine of 53,970.89 euros, and Maria del Carmen Garcia Daponte, to three months imprisonment and to pay a fine of 32,058.13 euros.
The judgment also absolves Cascallar Ramón Lago, Madalena Jesus Antonio Lopez, Javier Ignacio de la Riva Green, Octavio Casanova and Juan Manuel Pawn Escorihuela the crimes of which they were accused.
The resolution agreed to the confiscation of six farms in Villagarcia de Arosa and a farm in Sanxenxo called “Nanin” of 2,300 square meters, in addition to the intervention of several bank accounts.
