Yosef Beshari and Efraim Journo, both residents of USA’s Los Angeles (LA) area, have pleaded guilty to operating an illegal gambling business and conspiring to launder money.
Beshari and Journo conducted their business using video slot machines and sold credits for online gambling in multiple regions. Beshari further conspired with Schneur Rosenfeld to launder illicit gambling proceeds by exchanging the cash for other forms of payments.
Authorities have also charged Rosenfeld in a related case. Moreover, authorities have further charged two other LA residents, Gal Yifrach and Nick Shkolnik, with operating an illegal gambling business and conspiring to launder money in a related case. Beshari and Journo will receive their sentence on June 27, 2022.
