The Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists (ACFCS), a BARBRI Professional Association, has launched its Financial Crime Essentials, a robust introductory online course covering the essential methods and means for preventing and protecting against financial crime.
“Organizations of all types today face an increasing number of financial crime threats perpetrated by sophisticated sources. Minimizing those threats within an organization requires everyone to understand the risks and measures necessary to thwart them,” said ACFCS Executive Director Garry Clement, CAMS, CFE, CFCS. “We believe it is critical for all employees — front-line agents to occupants of the C-Suite — to have a basic grounding in the risks they face, and financial crime detection protocols to protect themselves and their organizations. Financial Crime Essentials meets that need, and we believe will be widely accepted by proactive institutions wanting an understanding beyond just money laundering.”
